Recovery up to $999
Spinal cord injuries (SCI) occur suddenly and without warning. In the blink of an eye, the world is turned upside down as SCI survivors and their families are faced with the immediate task of recovery. Your generous donation assists HeadNorth in providing the immediate support and guidance during this very difficult time. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a letter from one of HeadNorth’s grant recipients sharing their story. Donations over $500 will also receive HeadNorth merchandise.
Response ONE up to 1,000+
In San Diego county alone approx 100-120 of new cases of SCI occur every year. Response ONE is an inpatient acute-care program that was created to financially assist the immediate financial needs of an SCI survivor. Your generous contribution will provide $1,000 to help someone during this traumatic life-changing experience.
Along with your tax deductible donation, you will also receive:

Rehabilitation $3,000+
Once the critical needs related to SCI have been met, the rehabilitation process begins. During the long road of rehab, every SCI survivor requires intense physical therapy, emotional counseling and expensive equipment. Your generous donation will allow HeadNorth to purchase the necessary equipment like wheelchairs, standing frames, ramps and therapy to help ensure a successful beginning to a new way of life.

Reintegration $5,000+
One of the dreams of an SCI survivor is to again enjoy the leisure and recreational activities that they once did. You can assist us in making this possible. With your generous donation, HeadNorth is able to purchase items such as hand-cycles, car and home modifications, fitness equipment and computer voice-activated software that allows our recipients to reintegrate back into a life of fulfillment and enjoyment.

Response TWO $10,000+
In San Diego County alone, there are more than 3,000 people with an SCI and this number increases by 4% every year. Over 2/3 are men with an average age of 39 and 42% due to motor vehicle accidents. The first year costs approximately $283,388 for paraplegics and $775,567 for quadriplegics. These unexpected costs make it extremely difficult for individuals with SCI to survive without some financial assistance. Your very generous donation through the Response TWO donation level will help an SCI survivor through all the transitional stages of Recovery, Rehabilitation to Reintegration into an active lifestyle.
