It is our aim to become a nationally recognized source of guidance and resources to survivors of spinal cord injuries. To that end, our programs address the specific needs of those impacted by a SCI and its subsequent transitions from recovery to reintegrating back into an active and fulfilled lifestyle.
The Total Gym HeadNorth provided allows me to continue my rehabilitation on the days I can’t visit the rehab center. I live life to its fullest. My accident has not stopped this! As a quadriplegic, I am embarking upon a new journey.

I want to thank HeadNorth for providing the push assist wheels. Before receiving the wheels, I had shoulder pain. I can continue to do my daily activities and enjoy getting outside. Thank you so much and for your continued support.
Ricardo Ambriz Thrive recipient
Thank you HeadNorth for helping me get my new apartment and maintaining my independence! Being a mentor has given me the opportunity to show others how they too can be independent.

The Recover Program → For the newly injured, this program provides individuals and their families with immediate inpatient assistance following a spinal cord injury, including resources, in-patient peer support and Response ONE financial assistance.
The Thrive Program →
Provides spinal cord injury survivors with continued support and resources, including outpatient peer support and Response TWO financial assistance to help gain greater mobility and return to a full, productive lifestyle.
As part of the Recover and Thrive Programs we offer Peer Support.
Allows for continuity of care for the SCI survivor and family during the crucial inpatient and outpatient recovery and rehabilitation processes. Both the newly injured individual and those who are living daily with a SCI are assigned a mentor who has successfully transitioned following a SCI. The program enhances the inpatient recovery and rehabilitation experience along with continuation of care into the outpatient setting.
We also increase awareness through our Day in a Chair Program.
Day in a Chair Program →
Creates a rewarding and enlightening experience for able-bodied individuals to begin to appreciate and understand some of the challenges faced by those with a spinal cord injury. The program is offered to businesses and schools, and emulates the challenges of living with paralysis by confining able-bodied participants to a wheelchair for a day.
