THANK YOU: On behalf of the Spinal Cord Community (SCI) and the rest of the HeadNorth members, I wish to thank everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on June 17th 2008. Because of your generosity the amount we raised exceeded the goal of $200,000 we set to support our organization’s projects. Your donation will greatly assist in funding our mission, to provide essential support and guidance to individuals and families affected by spinal cord injuries in the greater San Diego County.

Horseplay 08
On
Saturday July 12th, the first annual 'Horseplay 08' event benefiting the
HeadNorth Foundation and Amani Children’s Home was held at the Del Mar
Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar. The unique and challenging event was held at the
picturesque racetrack by the sea. Participants experienced a one-of-a-kind
workout tour that went behind the scenes at the famous racetrack and then
proceeded down onto the turf for various cardiovascular and strength exercises
including a grueling ¼ sprint from the starting gates to the finish line.
Overall $3,000 was raised from sponsorships, $50 entrance fee and prizes donated
from the local San Diego business community. Most importantly everyone had a lot
of fun and enjoyed the amazing surroundings of where the 'surf meets the turf'.

you to the 'Horseplay' committee for their hard work, to everyone who
participated or donated items and especially to Mike, Ann and Walker from the
Thoroughbred Club for their generous hospitality and support.
The Collective
July
10th 2008: On a beautiful Thursday evening, The Collective and LANDMARK Events
put together a unique and chic event at Eden, on the rooftop of the Ivy Hotel.
The event featured a fashion and trunk show for PAHR Fairway Essentials, a
silent auction and a putting green where participants showed off their putting
skills. All monies raised benefited the HeadNorth Foundation. Barbara Lee
Edwards (pictured) was the evening MC and helped make the event a great success.
Through the contribution and donations from the San Diego community over $5,000
was raised and will significantly help HeadNorth continue to reach its mission.
Thank you to all who attended and donated items and special thanks goes to the Collective team, DGD golf, LandmarK and PAHR Fairway Essentials for their support and contribution towards the evening’s success.
